Base Salary
$90k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python backend microservices that support CI/CD pipelines and scalable deployment processes.
- Develop APIs and automation components for deployment and testing environments.
- Monitor and maintain backend services, investigate issues, and improve distributed-system availability and performance.
- Use Claude, Cursor, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, and agentic workflows for coding, review, testing, refactoring, and debugging with appropriate verification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and continue developing technical skills.
Requirements
- Require 3–5 years of software engineering experience with exposure to microservices or distributed systems and production support or maintenance.
- Require proficiency in Python for backend applications and automation tooling.
- Require practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure and backend system development; AWS is preferred and Azure is a bonus.
- Require familiarity with CI/CD concepts, pipelines, automation tools, and version control systems.
- Seek experience building and maintaining microservices in a CI/CD context and understanding of distributed systems and backend scaling.
- Seek hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, agentic coding workflows, prompt engineering, and evaluating AI-generated code.
- Value clear communication, ownership, issue diagnosis, continuous improvement, willingness to learn, and ability to take feedback.
