Staff ML Infrastructure Engineer - Embodied AI Scaling Foundations

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of scalable platforms and tools for ML model training and evaluation.
- Own complex technical projects end to end, including architecture, technical trade-offs, planning, design reviews, and code quality.
- Drive technical prioritization and collaborate with partner teams to maximize the impact of shared systems.
- Mentor and onboard junior engineers and interns.
- Conduct technical interviews and contribute to recruiting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, applications, or advanced ML systems.
- Proven experience designing robust frameworks with high-quality, durable APIs.
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms with hands-on application.
- Expertise building reliable, high-performance, and cost-efficient systems on modern cloud infrastructure.
- End-to-end experience across the ML development lifecycle, including MLOps practices.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and exceptional coding ability in Python or C++.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include distributed training, scaling ML training across GPU/CPU clusters or accelerators, PyTorch or TensorFlow, performance profiling, training optimization, Bazel/Buck/Blaze/CMake, Docker, Kubernetes, and 5+ years of professional experience.
