Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy technology projects and programs.
- Contribute to large-scale technical strategy and planning.
- Review and resolve moderately complex technical challenges.
- Lead projects, act as an escalation point, and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and React.js.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging and streaming platforms, and Apache Kafka concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong source-control and branching-strategy experience using Git.
- Experience developing automated unit tests, integration tests, and test automation frameworks.
- Experience with at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB or similar technology.
- Understanding of software design patterns, secure coding practices, and application performance optimization.
- Awareness of Python for automation, scripting, data processing, or AI/ML-related initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional distributed teams.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, Identity and Access Management, authentication, authorization, or Privileged Access Management is a strong plus.
