Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and conduct code reviews.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support root-cause analysis.
- Write unit, integration, and automated tests.
- Improve application performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to technical documentation.
- Drive work from requirements through delivery, support, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Java development and knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with JPA, Hibernate, or similar ORM frameworks.
- Strong unit and integration testing experience using JUnit, Mockito, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, debugging, and static code analysis.
- Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Typically 6+ years of relevant software development experience.
- Preferred experience includes microservices, distributed systems, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, reactive programming, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Kafka, RabbitMQ, monitoring, observability, performance tuning, OpenAPI, Swagger, GraphQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Vue.js, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, and regulated or quality-focused environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives is preferred.
