Responsibilities
- Learn the GenLogs platform, data flows, customers, and transportation domain end to end.
- Review specifications, identify gaps, and define acceptance criteria and test strategies before development begins.
- Build and maintain automated integration and end-to-end test suites across ReactJS portals and Python/NextJS APIs.
- Develop fast mocked tests for pull requests and scheduled end-to-end tests against real backends with managed seed data.
- Use AI coding agents and LLM-based tools to generate tests, expand coverage, triage failures, and maintain test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines as regression gates for releases.
- Own release-quality criteria, assess risk, and make clear go/no-go recommendations.
- Validate data accuracy and integrity with SQL against large-scale datasets.
- Investigate defects and production issues, document reproduction steps, and provide root-cause insight.
- Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to improve quality and testability.
- Track and reduce escaped defects, flaky tests, test debt, coverage gaps, and release instability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software Quality Assurance experience, including at least 3 years focused on test automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or comparable end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Solid API and integration testing experience with pytest, requests, Postman, or similar tools.
- Practical experience using Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI tools to write and scale automated tests.
- Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines and working with containerized environments.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and test data management.
- Experience with test data seeding, isolation, and non-idempotent operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, clear risk communication, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effectiveness working autonomously in a remote and distributed team.
- Preferred: experience with spec-driven development, data-heavy or distributed systems, geospatial data, computer vision outputs, logistics or supply-chain technology, and AI-assisted QA tooling.
- JavaScript or TypeScript experience is preferred.
