Responsibilities
- Lead automation testing initiatives across web services and API applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and industry best practices.
- Perform manual testing for approximately 25% of the role and automation testing for approximately 75%.
- Define comprehensive REST API test coverage, including positive and negative flows.
- Own quality end to end for sprint deliveries, integrations, customer releases, patches, and hotfixes.
- Define automation strategy, coding standards, framework architecture, and quality metrics.
- Develop and execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
- Automate REST API testing using Playwright API, Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
- Build and maintain mobile automation frameworks for Android and iOS using Appium.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Review automation code, mentor team members, and promote test automation best practices.
- Analyze automation results, troubleshoot failures, and improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with banking security, regulatory, and quality standards.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation, including 2–4 years in a lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience using Generative AI to accelerate software testing and automation throughout the SDLC.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Appium for web, mobile, and cross-browser automation.
- Strong API automation experience using Playwright API, Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience testing web, mobile, API, and microservices applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JSON, XML, OAuth2, JWT, API gateways, and microservices architecture.
- Experience implementing BDD/TDD frameworks using Cucumber or similar tools.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum, SDLC/STLC, Git, SQL, and defect management tools such as Jira.
- Experience using ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or KIRO for test case generation, automation development, code optimization, and defect analysis.
- Strong knowledge of banking and financial services applications, secure transaction workflows, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, and BrowserStack or LambdaTest.
- Knowledge of performance testing with JMeter, security testing, accessibility testing, and visual regression testing.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience testing digital banking, internet banking, mobile banking, payments, loans, cards, or customer management applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of banking APIs, transaction processing, KYC/AML workflows, and financial regulatory compliance is preferred.
- Experience validating secure financial transactions and end-to-end banking business processes is preferred.
