Responsibilities
- Create web-based solutions for network handling, ABR algorithms, and playback resiliency using HTML5 video and Media Source Extensions.
- Collaborate on experimental video player improvements across browsers and devices.
- Lead engineering delivery as the primary technical contact for new web playback initiatives.
- Improve internal engineering standards and integrations.
- Mentor and sponsor junior engineers while promoting software excellence.
- Collaborate with Streaming & Broadcasting teams on cross-domain projects.
- Triage and debug production issues across browsers, devices, and complex web architectures.
Requirements
- Professional software engineering experience with a strong delivery track record and/or research background.
- Deep expertise in HTML5 video playback, including Media Source Extensions, Encrypted Media Extensions, DRM, and browser media pipelines.
- Experience designing and evolving SDK, API, or platform components used across multiple teams or products.
- Ability to organize personal time across multiple initiatives.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and modern web technologies.
- Strong knowledge of performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility.
