Responsibilities
- Define the future product-technology vision and technological transformation initiatives based on market trends, emerging technologies, product backlogs, and business objectives.
- Lead the transition from current to target architectures across value streams, including analysis and prioritization of non-functional requirements.
- Define how generative and agentic AI, LLMs, agents, MCP, and tool use should be incorporated into product architecture, including security, cost, and governance requirements.
- Design and guide agent orchestration, roles, and guardrails for AI-assisted software development.
- Create prototypes, proofs of concept, and pilots to validate significant technical decisions before architectural adoption.
- Partner with Product Managers on strategic discovery involving integration, API Management, Open Finance, and AI.
- Lead the architecture guild, establish common standards and decisions, and support Staff Engineers and senior technical-career development.
- Structure technical recommendations, negotiate trade-offs, and mitigate architecture, compliance, resilience, scalability, and operational-efficiency risks.
- Represent product technology internally and externally with engineers, executives, customers, and market analysts.
- Contribute hands-on through code, proofs of concept, code reviews, troubleshooting, and support for technically complex squad problems.
- Ensure scalability, resilience, availability, SLOs, application and container security, and cost are addressed during architectural design.
Requirements
- Long, proven technical career spanning multiple products or domains.
- Track record of architecture decisions that affected an entire organization and remained effective over time.
- Practical experience applying generative and agentic AI to product architecture, including LLMs, agents, MCP, and tool use.
- Experience using agent orchestration in day-to-day software development.
- Experience leading architects or senior technical professionals through influence and example rather than hierarchy.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions without formal authority and earn the trust of engineers, directors, and C-level stakeholders.
- Experience with distributed, multi-tenant cloud architectures at scale.
- Product vision and ability to connect architectural decisions to business and customer objectives.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and structured analysis skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Advanced English for technical and market research and conversations with customers and suppliers.
- Preferred experience with API Management, Open Finance, and iPaaS.
- Preferred identity and regulatory-technology experience, including OAuth, OIDC, mTLS, FAPI, Open Insurance, JWS, DCR, and PAR.
- Spanish proficiency is preferred.
- Preferred experience with regulated industries and compliance frameworks including LGPD, PCI, and ISO 27001.
- People-management experience is preferred.
