Responsibilities
- Develop value-adding payment and basket platform features for customers.
- Make architectural decisions that support high performance, robustness, and maintainability.
- Own team services from requirements analysis through operation, including the transition from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud.
- Design and integrate fault-tolerant, RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Analyze recurring support requests and implement automated solutions in code.
- Monitor and operate business-critical services using observability tools.
- Share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to team culture and collaboration.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with Kotlin.
- Strong knowledge of backend technologies and frameworks such as Node.js and Express; Quarkus and Spring Boot are nice to have.
- Extensive experience with API design, microservice integration, and fault-tolerant RESTful services.
- Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL databases including MongoDB.
- Knowledge of Git and proficiency with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Terraform, Helm, Flux, and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of payment gateway integrations such as Stripe and PayPal.
- Practical experience with object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java.
- Experience with performance optimization, monitoring, design patterns, testing strategies, and web application security best practices.
- Excellent written and spoken English and the ability to adapt to changing technologies and methodologies.
