Responsibilities
- Consult with IT and business managers on complex technical issues and problems.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code and produce supporting flowcharts, layouts, and documentation.
- Design and develop tests and test automation suites, integrate software components, maintain software functionality, and participate in code reviews.
- Build end-to-end full-stack solutions spanning user experience, application logic, APIs, data integration, and AI solution delivery.
- Apply security and privacy principles and help shape technology strategy for large IT divisions.
- Educate business leaders, prepare presentations on IT strategies, advocate for innovative technology solutions, and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and complete required training and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is beneficial.
- Significant experience in software development and extensive experience developing and supporting mainframe applications.
- Prior experience with Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, JSON, and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks with demonstrated full-stack development expertise.
- Broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
- Extensive experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.
- Understanding of interdependencies and the business impact of future IT plans.
- Strong communication, organization, teamwork, interpersonal, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and strategic-thinking skills.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
