Responsibilities

Consult with IT and business managers on complex technical issues and problems.
Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code and produce supporting flowcharts, layouts, and documentation.
Design and develop tests and test automation suites, integrate software components, maintain software functionality, and participate in code reviews.
Build end-to-end full-stack solutions spanning user experience, application logic, APIs, data integration, and AI solution delivery.
Apply security and privacy principles and help shape technology strategy for large IT divisions.
Educate business leaders, prepare presentations on IT strategies, advocate for innovative technology solutions, and mentor junior engineers.
Stay current with emerging technologies and complete required training and professional development activities.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is beneficial.
Significant experience in software development and extensive experience developing and supporting mainframe applications.
Prior experience with Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, JSON, and TypeScript.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks with demonstrated full-stack development expertise.
Broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
Extensive experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.
Understanding of interdependencies and the business impact of future IT plans.
Strong communication, organization, teamwork, interpersonal, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and strategic-thinking skills.
Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

The role is located in Manchester or London.
