Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure using Terraform.
- Architect and manage enterprise Kubernetes clusters on EKS and/or AKS for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD with GitOps workflows.
- Embed DevSecOps frameworks, security controls, and automated compliance scanning into delivery pipelines.
- Evaluate and use AI and AIOps tooling for infrastructure automation, code reviews, troubleshooting, anomaly detection, and incident analysis.
- Partner with software development teams on cloud-native architecture, infrastructure, security, and operational practices.
- Own foundational networking, including hybrid connectivity, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and DNS architectures.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers through reviews, paired programming, workshops, and architectural guidance.
- Participate in an engineering on-call rotation to support production availability and reliability.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, or site reliability engineering, including experience in a senior or lead capacity.
- Production experience managing workloads across both AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with cloud-native security tools such as Wiz, CrowdStrike, AWS GuardDuty, AWS Security Hub, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Experience integrating security frameworks such as OWASP, CIS Benchmarks, or NIST and automated SAST and dependency/SCA scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with AI assistants and code-generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and OpenAI.
- Experience with AIOps, predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, or AI-assisted incident analysis using tools such as Datadog Watchdog, Bits AI, or K8sGPT.
- Advanced production experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, and workspace optimization.
- Deep hands-on experience operating mission-critical workloads on Amazon EKS and/or Azure AKS, including ingress controllers, Azure Application Gateways, and network policies.
- Extensive experience building automated pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and understanding GitOps principles using tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Deep understanding of subnets, VPC/VNet peering, routing, firewalls, VPN topologies, and private/public DNS resolution.
- Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to mentor team members.
