Responsibilities
- Participate in the software development lifecycle as part of a dynamic engineering team.
- Own technical design and development as a tech lead for cross-functional, multi-platform, fault-tolerant application systems.
- Improve developer experience by identifying gaps in internal frameworks and tools and contributing to enhancements.
- Establish engineering best practices, standards, and code review standards.
- Define technical standards and provide technical support to ensure engineering practices are consistently followed.
- Own architecture, assess the impact of evolving technology on the domain, follow High Level Design methodology, and contribute to High Level Design.
- Mentor junior and intermediate associates and provide guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on development experience, preferably using Java, Python, Go, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- At least 6 years of experience with application and/or data design, architecture, and development.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud products such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience mentoring junior or intermediate associates and guiding technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: 8 or more years leading the full software development lifecycle.
- Preferred: bachelor's, master's, or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
