Responsibilities

Build and support backend services for a particular part of Monzo’s financial product.
Collaborate with cross-functional squads to test hypotheses and improve customer outcomes.
Design and operate resilient software and distributed systems.
Work with product, design, research, data, marketing, mobile, web, and business teams.
Participate in system design, coding, and behavioural interviews as part of the hiring process.

Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product.
Interest in building products used by customers every day and applying a product mindset.
Comfort working in an ambiguous, cross-functional environment.
Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software.
Experience with a strongly typed language such as Go, Java, C, or Scala.
No formal degree or qualification is required.

£130,000–£170,000 base salary plus equity.
London office or remote work from anywhere in the UK, with occasional London meetings.
Relocation assistance to the UK and visa sponsorship.
