Responsibilities
- Own, operate, and evolve core infrastructure including PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and asynchronous processing pipelines.
- Design, manage, and optimize LLM infrastructure, including the LLM gateway, evaluation pipelines, and observability stack.
- Build monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to surface issues at the appropriate time.
- Architect and implement new infrastructure such as Redis, Kafka, or similar systems as the platform scales.
- Improve deployment pipelines and developer experience to support fast and safe shipping.
- Serve as the point person for reliability, performance, and production system health.
Requirements
- At least four years of software engineering experience, focused on backend or infrastructure.
- Strong database technology skills, including diagnosing inefficiencies and addressing bottlenecks.
- Experience running production services, including monitoring, alerting, and incident debugging.
- Familiarity with job queues, asynchronous processing, or event-driven systems.
- Experience solving scaling problems and improving system reliability.
- Experience with Docker, AWS or GCP, or infrastructure-as-code is preferred.
