Responsibilities
- Own customer support cases from initial contact through final resolution.
- Troubleshoot hybrid and multicloud infrastructure issues involving virtualization, servers, networking, storage, operating systems, Linux, and cloud technologies.
- Perform code-level analysis and root-cause investigation to understand product behavior.
- Create Knowledge Base articles, update FAQ documentation, and share knowledge within the team.
- Submit product and process improvement feedback and feature or bug requests to development engineers.
- Conduct customer-environment health checks and share analysis results for proactive maintenance.
- Test new features before commercial release and contribute to internal improvement projects.
- Collaborate with technology partners including HPE, Dell, Fujitsu, Hitachi, VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft.
- Participate in scheduled off-hours on-call rotations for urgent customer inquiries.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in one or more of virtualization, servers, networking, storage, Linux, or cloud.
- Customer-facing experience in support, system operations, systems engineering, project work, or a related area.
- Practical troubleshooting experience.
- Willingness to learn cloud technologies and track industry trends.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to meet internal and external stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to identify and solve customers' underlying business and technical challenges.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Valid work permit in Japan.
- English reading and writing ability is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with international teams or global organizations is preferred.
- Basic programming knowledge, software development experience, or debugging skills is preferred.
- Infrastructure hardware experience or equivalent knowledge is preferred.
- Public cloud operations or architecture experience, or equivalent knowledge, is preferred.
