Responsibilities
- Lead a team of testers and oversee the quality of their work.
- Create and execute manual and automated functional test plans and test cases for web applications, including regression testing.
- Execute test scripts and identify functional edge cases outside expected workflows.
- Identify, document, track, and log defects during test execution.
- Track QA metrics such as defect density and open defect count.
- Coordinate with engineering and product teams to support timely delivery of quality software.
- Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.
- Define QA processes and drive continuous improvement in software quality.
Requirements
- BTech or BE degree.
- At least 5 years of experience with web-based applications and test automation.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Prior EdTech experience is required.
- Strong experience writing test scenarios and test cases.
- Experience with manual and automation testing, Selenium/WebDriver, API testing, defect tracking, and CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of SQL queries and database testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Preferred: experience with performance testing, security testing, cloud testing, Python or Java scripting, and AI/ML or automation framework design.
