Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of data pipelines and production ML systems.
- Build and operate data infrastructure powering personalized customer benefits, incentives, offers, and experiences.
- Design, implement, optimize, and maintain high-quality data pipelines and scalable ML systems.
- Apply data quality assurance, monitoring, testing, application tuning, profiling, and continuous integration practices.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Owners, engineers, analysts, and business intelligence teams.
- Provide technical support, mentorship, coaching, and practical knowledge to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience leading the full lifecycle of production ML systems from architectural design through scalable deployment and monitoring.
- Solid data engineering experience with Python and SQL, including maintainable and high-quality code development.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark, Kubernetes, Kafka, cloud computing, and data processing technologies.
- Expertise in data modeling, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, object stores such as AWS S3, and data platforms such as Databricks.
- Proven ability to build efficient, robust, and well-performing data pipelines.
- Experience with unit, integration, and functional testing, application tuning and profiling, and continuous integration.
- Extensive experience with agile development and strong delivery, problem-solving, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Passion for using AI tools to improve collaboration and execution.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and subscription-based businesses is preferred.
