Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test suites for software applications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and user interface testing and validate data with SQL queries.
- Create reusable test automation frameworks and derive automation scripts from Jira user stories.
- Identify, track, and manage defects while supporting troubleshooting, impact analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Partner with business analysts, developers, and technical teams to understand requirements and support successful product releases.
- Manage test cases aligned to user stories in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Validate UI/UX workflows and recommend usability improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software quality engineering and test automation.
- Experience in Medicare or health insurance systems, including claims, member benefits, payer, or provider applications.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, testing best practices, and the software development life cycle.
- Hands-on experience with test automation, test planning, test case development, test execution, and defect management.
- Experience with Selenium, Power Automate, or similar automated testing technologies.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and testing.
- Familiarity with EDI files and healthcare transaction sets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Ability to read application code and stored procedures, perform impact analysis, assess regression testing needs, and evaluate UI/UX workflows is preferred.
- Strong independence, prioritization, attention to detail, communication, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
