Responsibilities
- Architect AI solutions and agent workflows connecting enterprise information, applications, and tools.
- Design context engineering, retrieval, tool integration, memory, orchestration, and human-oversight patterns for agents.
- Develop prototypes and reference implementations to validate architecture and guide production adoption.
- Design lifecycle capabilities for evaluation, versioning, deployment, observability, and ongoing improvement.
- Turn recurring solution needs into platform services, primitives, APIs, and reference implementations.
- Evaluate models and frameworks against capability, reliability, latency, cost, and deployment requirements.
- Diagnose production failures, validate changes, communicate designs, lead design discussions, and mentor developers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering or application architecture experience, including personally taking an AI capability from design through deployment and improvement.
- Hands-on development experience in Java and Python ecosystems, including APIs, services, integrations, prototypes, and working applications.
- Depth in an agent development framework and familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK, and similar approaches.
- Understanding of context engineering, harnesses, multi-agent orchestration and choreography, MCP, and A2A.
- Knowledge of commercial and open model capabilities, limitations, economics, and methods for measuring quality, latency, and cost.
- Experience evaluating agent outcomes, diagnosing production failures, managing permissions and untrusted inputs, and protecting enterprise data boundaries.
- Strong application and cloud architecture experience with distributed services, security, multi-tenancy, and production systems at scale.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
