Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of major team-scoped projects.
- Participate in cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
- Actively engage in product work, providing feedback and suggesting solutions.
- Maintain a good understanding of the team’s domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
- Provide feedback on code reviews and contribute to the shared codebase.
- Debug and solve technical and business issues.
- Participate in non-team activities such as support rotations and hiring processes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other engineers.
- Investigate and implement improvements to the platform.
- Implement interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind.
- Redesign engineering workflows with autonomous agents as the default execution layer.
- Propose and operationalize agentic workflows to deliver outcomes faster.
- Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives in the codebase.
- Use verification loops to ensure results are correct, secure, reliable, and scalable.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
- Practical experience designing or adopting automation workflows.
- Ability to think in systems and define clear specifications.
- Experience with Postgres or similar databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
- Demonstrated strong automation and AI capabilities.
