Responsibilities
- Build and scale systems and services that support millions of users and high-volume asset trading.
- Design and implement modern, globally scalable payments and treasury platform capabilities.
- Develop resilient, event-driven systems with strong technical and operational scalability and system integrity.
- Create and maintain microservices and client-facing APIs.
- Design solutions for distributed systems, payment workflows, financial ledgers, and reconciliation.
- Work autonomously toward defined goals while actively helping define those goals.
- Debug issues proactively and identify potential problems before they occur.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working on systems at scale.
- Proven experience building and maintaining microservices and client-facing APIs.
- Strong coding skills, preferably in Go, with the ability to write clean, tested, and maintainable code.
- Experience with domain-driven design, event-driven design, distributed systems, messaging queues, message brokers, relational databases, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with payment rails, payment lifecycles, double-entry accounting, and financial ledgers.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.
- Nice-to-have experience includes financial reconciliation systems, ISO 20022, financial services, payments initiation, remote work, or work at a startup, exchange, brokerage, market maker, or hedge fund.
- A DevOps mindset is an asset.
