Base Salary

$183k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary security subject matter expert throughout the sales process.
  • Conduct technical discovery, design customized security architectures, lead demonstrations and proof-of-concept implementations, and respond to security-focused RFP content.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with CISOs, security architects, network security engineers, and other customer stakeholders.
  • Facilitate technical workshops, whiteboarding sessions, customer forums, and industry event presentations.
  • Partner with Account Executives and channel partners on account strategy, opportunity qualification, forecasting, negotiations, and solution positioning.
  • Provide technical guidance through the sales cycle and post-sale implementation planning.
  • Share customer feedback with product management and engineering, contribute to competitive analysis, and create technical blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and other thought leadership.
  • Support product advocacy, beta and early adoption programs, technical proposals, and market intelligence activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in network security and/or cloud security.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 security frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and their native security services.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and micro-segmentation, plus zero-trust architecture principles.
  • Understanding of PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and GDPR compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to support complex B2B sales cycles and communicate with technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred, along with MEDDPICC.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, SDN, NFV, DevSecOps, security automation, container and Kubernetes security, and multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, relevant industry certifications such as CISSP and CCSP, cloud security certifications, enterprise software sales or security consulting experience, public speaking experience, networking or security product management experience, and native German language skills.
