Responsibilities
- Participate in the architecture, design, and implementation of build and development infrastructure and methodologies.
- Manage and automate build and release processes, including packaging build artifacts and collateral.
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure supporting software development and automated testing.
- Administer and improve shared infrastructure, storage systems, redundancy, documentation, and operational practices.
- Implement security patches and updates, perform hardware forecasting and ordering, and coordinate lab tickets for physical or connectivity changes.
- Automate infrastructure using Docker and Ansible and design, deploy, and support Kubernetes-based infrastructure and containerized applications.
- Develop AI-powered automation, agents, and intelligent workflows and integrate engineering tools using Model Context Protocol and related services.
- Participate in a rotational front-line support schedule for tools and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of experience developing and maintaining software using industry best practices for quality and traceability.
- Proficiency in Python, strong Linux experience, and expertise administering remotely accessible infrastructure.
- Experience with continuous integration, source control, software lifecycle support, code reviews, testing, and maintainability practices.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, storage systems, multi-platform software integration, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience monitoring infrastructure with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and VMware.
- Preferred experience with Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, Salt, Debian build and packaging, Tup, GNU Make, and CMake.
- Preferred hands-on experience with generative AI, large language models, AI-assisted development tools, AI agents, copilot and workflow automation solutions, Model Context Protocol, REST APIs, open-source tools, VS Code, and GitHub Copilot.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
