Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support highly available Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to create secure and scalable database architectures.
- Establish and maintain security standards and operational best practices for MSSQL workloads.
- Lead database deployments, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting efforts.
- Automate and optimize database infrastructure and operations using scripting and emerging technologies.
- Manage work through Agile/Kanban tools and participate in a shared on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience administering MS SQL Server (2014–2025).
- 2+ years of experience with high-availability technologies like Always On Availability Groups.
- Strong foundation in T-SQL, PowerShell scripting, and Windows Operating Systems.
- Ability to take ownership of issues and lead troubleshooting efforts.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively with effective communication.
- 1+ year of experience using tools like Jira or Confluence for tracking work.
