Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and contribute to large-scale technology strategy planning.
- Design, develop, test, debug, document, deploy, and support enterprise applications across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.
- Build RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and web applications using Microsoft technologies and modern UI frameworks.
- Resolve production, QA, and UAT defects and troubleshoot application, performance, deployment, and integration issues.
- Lead projects, act as an escalation point, consult with peers and managers, and provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
- Design and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, stored procedures, indexes, queries, SSIS packages, ETL processes, and data integrations.
- Use CI/CD, deployment, containerization, cloud, messaging, monitoring, and observability technologies as appropriate.
- Apply secure coding practices, remediate vulnerabilities, and follow applicable risk, compliance, and engineering policies.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and .NET Core/.NET 6 or later.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience developing web applications with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular or React.
- Experience supporting and resolving production, QA, and UAT defects and deploying applications across those environments.
- Experience with API development tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Harness, Azure DevOps, UDeploy, Liquibase, SonarQube, or equivalents.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Docker, OpenShift, Azure, GCP, AWS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Grafana is desired.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, database design, stored procedures, query optimization, indexing, performance tuning, SSIS, ETL, data integration, and Entity Framework.
- Experience with SOAP and REST Web Services and the full software development life cycle.
- Knowledge of application security, vulnerability remediation, secure coding, object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, and work with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
