Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for broadcast IP routing and switching products.
  • Develop real-time software components using embedded Linux and RTOS concepts for timing-critical behavior.
  • Define hardware/software interfaces, review schematics, and perform board-level integration and troubleshooting.
  • Work with internal engineering groups on new product development and extensions to existing products.
  • Use Linux command-line tools, Bash scripting, debugging tools, and source-control workflows for development and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Two to five years of hands-on experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ and understanding of memory management, multithreading, synchronization primitives, and IPC in embedded Linux.
  • Comfort working in a Linux command-line environment and proficiency with Bash scripting and standard Linux utilities.
  • Experience with Linux process management, monitoring, gdb-based debugging, and command-line Git or SVN workflows.
  • Preferred experience includes broadcast video/audio signal processing, TCP/IP networking, broadcast standards such as ST 2022 and ST 2110, OpenTelemetry, OpenGL ES or Vulkan, DRM/KMS, GPU-accelerated rendering, and FPGA or HDL development.

  • Annual salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 for entry-level candidates and $85,000 to $120,000 for experienced candidates.
