Responsibilities
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable TypeScript and own platform features from conception through deployment.
- Build, deploy, and maintain highly scalable applications using AWS Serverless services.
- Design and develop event-driven microservices with real-time data streaming through Kafka.
- Identify and implement LLM-powered automation, intelligent decision support, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Share AI engineering knowledge across teams and help develop AI-informed engineering practices.
- Conduct code reviews, champion engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to refine features, estimate tasks, and deliver predictably.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience building scalable, production-grade applications with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience with AWS Serverless architectures, including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka and real-time data streaming.
- A track record of creative problem-solving and delivering team-level technical expertise on complex application workflows.
- A practical, production-focused interest in applying AI to engineering workflows and software products.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, software development fundamentals, and Agile/Lean methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience integrating LLMs through OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or open-source models.
- Preferred knowledge of prompt engineering, context management, and LLM evaluation.
- Preferred experience introducing AI-assisted developer tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
- Preferred experience with enterprise applications involving billing, ledger tooling, payments integration, or energy grid and supply data.
- Preferred experience in consulting, SaaS onboarding, or client-delivery technical projects.
