Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and code robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions across systems and services.
- Serve as a key technical contributor on critical property and casualty insurance claim initiatives.
- Develop and maintain Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions and surrounding middleware.
- Evaluate and improve system architecture, technical standards, and development processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, business stakeholders, and vendors to align implementations with business needs.
- Create proof-of-concept solutions and provide technical guidance without formal people-management duties.
- Implement integrations using Guidewire REST APIs, messaging queues, and batches.
- Troubleshoot InsuranceSuite issues and use Guidewire Profiler to analyze performance problems.
- Apply secure coding, testing, monitoring, logging, and software development lifecycle best practices.
- Work within the Scaled Agile Framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of developer experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Extensive current Guidewire ClaimCenter development experience is required.
- Experience with Java, Gosu, Kotlin, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of auto insurance, preferably commercial or personal auto lines.
- Expertise in software design patterns, architectural principles, scalable systems, the full SDLC, and development process improvement.
- Experience with CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, unit and integration testing, version control, REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native architecture, and AWS services.
- Experience with Spring Boot, EKS or ECS, SQL, secure coding, Maven or Gradle, Angular, React, Vue, Webpack, and NPM.
- Experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, including ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, PCF, message queues, business rules, database models, and assignment rules.
- Guidewire Cloud InsuranceSuite Professional Developer certification is preferred but not required.
