Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient Python-based machine learning algorithms with high-quality evaluations and reliability.
- Develop deep neural networks for end-to-end learning, 3D scene understanding, 3D object detection, 3D world reconstruction, and self-supervised learning.
- Create and refine machine learning datasets using camera, lidar, and radar sensor data.
- Develop and manage automated AI workflows supporting the machine learning process.
- Advance Kodiak’s autonomous systems through continuous software and algorithm development.
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines and communicate designs and ML model results through clear technical documentation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD, with exceptional BS candidates considered.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing deep neural networks.
- Experience with applied AI research and Python programming.
- Experience with production machine learning pipelines, including dataset curation, training, and validation.
- Interest in solving real-world robotics problems; autonomous robotics experience is desirable.
- Ability to develop and iterate algorithms quickly from scratch.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, ownership, communication, and technical writing skills.
