Base Salary
$144k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, test, implement, and support software applications and systems.
- Lead delivery of software solutions with accountability for quality, scope, timelines, and outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, code reviews, technical guidance, and problem solving.
- Mentor and develop engineers while fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve systems and business outcomes.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to accelerate innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 6 years of software development experience, including pioneering new engineering approaches and technologies.
- Experience developing web-based applications and web services using Java, REST, ServiceNow, and other web technologies.
- Experience interfacing with databases and integrating third-party products with existing infrastructure.
- Strong backend engineering experience building scalable software solutions.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to highly collaborative teams.
- Strong communication, emotional intelligence, curiosity, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD, experience with IntelliJ, VS Code, Jira, Git, JavaScript, SQL, J2EE, Java EE, cloud-native development, AWS, Claude, Kiro, application integration, legacy modernization, Agile/Scrum development, or relevant technical certifications.
