Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-scale full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, and related technologies.
- Build scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, integration components, and distributed microservices.
- Develop Angular applications using TypeScript, RxJS, state management patterns, reusable components, and micro-frontend approaches.
- Use Python and Unix scripts for services, automation, integrations, data-processing utilities, developer tooling, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Contribute to architecture, API design, data flows, integration patterns, and technical implementation decisions.
- Develop reusable libraries, shared services, frameworks, and engineering patterns across the pod.
- Drive coding standards, secure development practices, automated testing, code quality controls, and software development lifecycle requirements.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot defects, optimize performance, and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform engineering teams on CI/CD, deployment automation, observability, logging, monitoring, and operational resilience.
- Coordinate technical work and dependencies across teams and influence delivery without formal authority.
- Translate Wealth Management requirements into testable, supportable software solutions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, pairing, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience building and supporting enterprise applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, object-oriented design, and microservices architecture.
- Production-grade Python experience involving services, automation, integrations, or data processing.
- Strong experience building modern web applications with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML, CSS, and contemporary frontend practices.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs in distributed environments with attention to reliability, security, maintainability, performance, and testability.
- Experience with Oracle or another enterprise relational database, including SQL, data modeling, transaction handling, and performance considerations.
- Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality tooling, and secure software development practices.
- Understanding of Agile delivery, the software development lifecycle, production support, and engineering controls in large enterprises.
- Ability to work independently, deliver high-quality code, influence technical decisions, and coordinate dependencies across teams.
- Preferred experience supporting Wealth Management, Brokerage, Investment, or financial services platforms.
- Preferred experience with FIXML, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, cloud-native development, containerized deployments, event-driven architecture, Kafka, RabbitMQ, observability tooling, SonarQube, Veracode, AI-assisted engineering tools, LLM integrations, AI agents, workflow automation, and legacy modernization.
