Base Salary
$225k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable control plane services for Kubernetes.
- Develop automation for cluster lifecycle management including provisioning and upgrades.
- Create internal tools, APIs, and CLIs for effective deployment and monitoring of services.
- Write resilient systems that handle failures in distributed environments.
- Define and implement Service-Level Objectives and Indicators for Kubernetes services.
- Troubleshoot unique cluster problems and document findings.
- Assist customers with Kubernetes questions and application integrations.
- Support initial cluster buildouts and validation to identify hardware issues.
- Collaborate with HPC Ops and Datacenter Ops teams on cross-functional solutions.
- Participate in a sustainable on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation.
- At least 1 year of experience in distributed systems software development.
- Proficiency in full-stack development using languages like Python, Go, Java, or C/C++.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows using tools like Gerrit, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience working with and developing open-source projects.
- Knowledge of tuning Kubernetes configuration and working with Operators and CRDs.
