Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical design and development of enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Own solution architecture for modules and domains, including scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Drive modernization initiatives involving monolith-to-microservices migration and cloud adoption.
- Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Review architecture, code, and designs for quality and maintainability.
- Mentor and guide engineers and develop technical capability within teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, DevOps, QA, and product teams on integration and delivery.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues and production challenges.
- Drive performance tuning, JVM optimization, monitoring, observability, and system reliability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on Java-based software development experience, with the posting also citing 10–15 years for the role.
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead working on enterprise or global systems and product-development environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, distributed-system design, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
- Working knowledge of Angular or React and experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes or AKS, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, scalable architectures, domain-driven design, or enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube, performance tuning, JVM optimization, and system reliability.
- Understanding of product development lifecycles and Lean Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, master's degree in Computer Science, MCA, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, and continuous-improvement skills.
