Responsibilities
- Build and maintain end-to-end UI automation suites with Selenium and Playwright, including page objects, fixtures, critical user journeys, and tenant administration workflows.
- Own test-suite reliability by triaging failures, fixing flaky tests, and making failures actionable for developers.
- Create direct GraphQL and REST API tests covering queries, mutations, authentication, authorization, and error cases.
- Write Jest unit tests for API services and React Testing Library tests for front-end components.
- Design and automate tenant-isolation checks across the UI, APIs, and background jobs.
- Integrate automated suites with Bitbucket Pipelines and Docker Compose, report results, and gate releases on test outcomes.
- Perform pre-release regression, post-deployment validation, production deployment checks, and database migration verification.
- Build and track load and performance testing scenarios with k6 or JMeter.
- Prepare test plans, coverage maps, bug reports, reproduction steps, logs, and test data documentation.
- Provide release feedback, issue analysis, process improvements, root-cause analysis, and prevention activities.
- Mentor other test engineers and provide proofs of concept for proposed technologies or tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software testing experience, including 4 years of hands-on test automation development.
- Bachelor's degree in computers or a related field.
- Strong browser automation experience with Selenium and Playwright.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript and experience structuring durable test suites with page objects, fixtures, and test-data setup and teardown.
- Experience testing GraphQL and REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, and error scenarios.
- Hands-on experience with Jest or comparable unit-test frameworks and React Testing Library, or willingness to learn it quickly.
- Experience using SQL with PostgreSQL for test-data setup and result verification.
- Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and integrating test suites into CI systems such as Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of version-control tools, JUnit, TestNG, Maven, and/or Gradle.
- Hands-on experience with Postman and JMeter performance testing.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, JIRA, static code analysis tools such as SonarQube, and API testing.
- Experience with test documentation, automation reporting tools such as Allure or ReportPortal, and process improvement.
- Preferred experience includes multi-tenant SaaS testing, k6, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Azure Integration Services, SSO and OAuth flows, LLM-backed features, MCP servers, and security-testing basics such as OWASP.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, multitasking, leadership, and written communication skills.
