Base Salary
$94k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with strong test coverage.
- Translate product requirements into modular, configurable, reusable, scalable, secure, compliant, and maintainable distributed application designs.
- Lead design and code reviews for multiple applications.
- Lead sprint teams in delivering new or improved features and resolving delivery impediments.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to deliver intended functionality.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Drive technical strategy and vision for the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of software programming experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with technologies used at Mercury.
- More than 1 year of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Preferred: 5 or more years of backend development experience with Java and Python.
- Preferred: 5 or more years using AWS technologies.
- Preferred: 3 or more years with database technologies such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
- Experience with programming languages, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, databases, caching, APIs, messaging, data streaming, workflows, integrations, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
- Experience driving technical strategy, mentoring team members, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
