Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify business opportunities, technical objections, and strategies for resolving customer technical blockers.
- Lead customer discovery workshops to assess application environments, workloads, and goals for migration to Google Cloud Platform databases.
- Support technical customer relationships through product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordination of solutions affecting Google Cloud adoption.
- Advise customers on Google’s database portfolio and help design and optimize data management environments using Google Cloud databases.
- Develop solution initiatives and materials for internal stakeholders and partners, share database promotion best practices, and provide field feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in the enterprise software or cloud space.
- Experience with one or more of MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or graph databases.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including positioning databases for customer application use cases.
- Ability to write, read, and debug code in Java, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
- Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills for client relationship management in the region.
- Preferred experience in customer-facing pre-business or professional consulting involving data and information lifecycle management.
- Preferred experience with data management architectures, storage, high availability, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, performance, scalability, security, monitoring, and database management.
- Preferred experience helping customers design and build applications with open-source or cloud-native databases.
- Preferred experience with data migration strategies and moving production systems from on-premise or data center environments to the cloud.
