Responsibilities
- Research, design, and create proofs of concept for new Canvas features and the technical vision of the Canvas.
- Build product features and complete migrations and refactors that advance the Canvas platform.
- Collaborate on and lead projects from design and planning through execution and release.
- Prototype, implement, and maintain team projects and features as a technical expert, mentor, and leader.
- Deliver flexible, maintainable solutions with accountability for quality, performance, and reliability.
- Design, plan, and implement automated testing and documentation strategies.
- Participate in technical designs and talks, review code, and help improve team knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in team processes and best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping large-scale production software on an engineering team.
- Fluency in modern JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with React, Node.js, or other modern frameworks.
- Computer graphics experience, including scene graphs, quadtrees, matrix calculations, computational geometry, and layout algorithms, is highly valued.
- A strong track record designing and delivering scalable, high-performance systems.
- Interest in AI-driven development practices and experience using AI tools in fundamental workflows.
- Experience planning technical projects and delivering systems and features iteratively.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to lead technical discussions and navigate trade-offs effectively.
- Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments or startups is a plus.
