Base Salary
$163k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own features end to end from problem framing and technical design through backend and frontend implementation, rollout, and ongoing operations.
- Design enterprise capabilities for permissions, access control, approvals, audit requirements, data residency, regional isolation, and degraded dependencies.
- Identify, quantify, and resolve scalability and performance limits at enterprise customer scale.
- Extend the public API, Terraform provider, and configuration surfaces for fleet-scale platform management.
- Work directly with customers through escalations and discovery calls and turn customer problems into reusable product capabilities.
- Improve operability through observability, runbooks, on-call participation, and incident follow-through.
- Drive alignment across dependent teams and stakeholders, including those working across time zones.
- Provide substantive specification and pull request reviews and mentor newer engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a record of driving features from design through production.
- Strong ability in a statically typed backend language and comfort owning frontend work; the stated stack is Go, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience building production products for enterprise customers, including areas such as multi-tenancy, roles and permissions, SSO and identity, audit logging, approval workflows, or compliance.
- Demonstrated experience solving scale and performance problems by measuring bottlenecks and changing system designs.
- Experience designing APIs used by other engineers and understanding the consequences of API decisions.
- Comfort speaking directly with large-customer platform teams and generalizing their needs into broader solutions.
- Willingness to occasionally flex working hours to collaborate with EMEA teammates and stakeholders.
- Strong written communication for design documents and written decisions.
