Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of large-scale systems and architectures for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Define technical vision and strategy across teams and align engineering efforts with organizational and product goals.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to shape technical priorities and roadmap decisions.
- Influence technical direction through architecture, design patterns, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Resolve complex technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve observability and systemic reliability.
- Lead technical-debt reduction, modernization, and re-platforming initiatives across teams.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering velocity, product quality, and business outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while collaborating with Technical Support, QA, Design, Documentation, and Product Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience with technical leadership across complex, cross-team initiatives.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and industry-standard design patterns and practices.
- Deep experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed, high-performance systems and architectures.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including cloud architecture and security best practices.
- Preferred experience with .NET full-stack and API development across frontend and backend layers.
- Preferred proficiency in one or more of Rust, C#, and JavaScript.
- Preferred experience with distributed and microservices-based architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with serverless architectures, managed Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools, and cost-aware resource design.
- Preferred experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, testing strategies, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, incident response, reliability engineering, secure coding, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, and relational or non-relational data stores.
