Base Salary
$85k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to derive scenarios, user requirements, dependencies, design documents, project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Design and develop solutions for hardware accelerators, processors, transports, and cluster-level storage performance improvements.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide other engineers, monitor systems on call, communicate service status, and help restore degraded or interrupted services.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance through new technical solutions and operational patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven coding experience in C and C++.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Preferred: experience with kernel development, embedded systems, hardware offloads, virtualization, storage datapath performance, memory management, device virtualization, cloud service providers, root cause analysis, or measurement and validation.
Benefits
- Base pay range is USD $85,400-$168,100 per year across the U.S., with a different range for specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan locations.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
