Base Salary
$97k - $115k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, support, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests through enterprise ticketing systems and operational workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and integration issues.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimize mainframe applications and database queries.
- Create knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Assess functional and technical requirements and recommend implementation or change options aligned with business needs.
- Guide junior team members and act as a technical lead for critical mainframe applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Three to five years of specialized technical experience and extensive experience developing, supporting, and maintaining mainframe applications.
- Proficiency with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Experience with enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Service Manager.
- Experience with version control systems and software development tools.
- Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies and waterfall and agile projects.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a US citizen or US Green Card holder.
