Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain production-grade control-plane microservices, custom Kubernetes operators, and reconciliation engines in Rust and Go.
  • Author functional and non-functional requirements, architectural specifications, system sequence diagrams, and gRPC/Protobuf API schemas.
  • Develop integrations for SONiC, NVUE, Cumulus, and DPU hardware platforms.
  • Instrument distributed services with OpenTelemetry traces and metrics and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Participate in review-gated pull-request workflows and maintain high test coverage with mock-driven testing.
  • Contribute to open-source systems projects and participate in cross-functional architecture reviews.

Requirements

  • Primary mastery of Rust and strong proficiency in Go, including async runtimes and relevant Rust libraries.
  • Advanced SQL and PostgreSQL fluency, gRPC/Protobuf contract design, schema evolution, concurrency, distributed state handling, and mock-driven testing.
  • Expertise in BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, L3VNI, route targets, route servers, SONiC, Cumulus Linux, and NVUE.
  • Deep knowledge of NVIDIA DOCA, Host-Based Networking, BlueField DPU architectures, DPF operator concepts, InfiniBand, NVLink, NMX-M, and RoCEv2.
  • Advanced Linux networking knowledge, including netlink, network namespaces, routing tables, DHCP/DNS services, boot chains, systemd, initramfs, and BIOS configuration.
  • Experience with Kubernetes networking, custom controllers/operators, CRD-driven reconciliation, provisioning, secure boot, hardware management, identity/security systems, and virtualization.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience in cloud-native platforms, systems programming, networking, or infrastructure automation.
  • Open-source systems-project participation or maintainership is preferred.
