Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable backend services and APIs for cloud-based automotive applications.
- Build microservices and serverless solutions using languages such as Go.
- Optimize backend performance, scalability, resilience, reliability, and cost efficiency while minimizing downtime.
- Design, index, and tune SQL and NoSQL databases and scale systems for heavy traffic and data-processing demands.
- Implement security best practices including encryption, authentication, and secure API development.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, lead code reviews and design sessions, and guide architectural discussions.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into backend solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and coordinate integration across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of backend development experience.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their cloud-native services.
- Proficiency in backend languages such as Go, Java, Scala, or Rust.
- Experience with microservices architecture, cloud infrastructure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Expertise designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs and serverless architectures.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including database optimization.
- Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- A track record of mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
