Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams, including architecture direction, platform roadmaps, and shared-services strategy.
- Deliver cloud-based solutions for risk management and regulatory needs in collaboration with product managers, architects, and product leaders.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technology communities, and drive professional development and technical standards.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability practices, and reliability practices across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: experience with open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, using observability to optimize distributed-system performance, leading architecture reviews, and implementing reliability practices at scale.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, technology strategy, cross-functional engineering efforts, and large-scale technical initiatives.
