Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and expand automated test scripts using TypeScript and Playwright.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps.
- Test web, API, and mobile application interfaces.
- Use SQL Server to manage automated testing data and maintain test data sets.
- Create automated test plans and ensure application page objects and functionality align with user needs.
- Participate in sprint planning, test planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and report testing metrics to teams and stakeholders.
- Advocate for code quality, testability, maintainability, and testing best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers and mentor manual testers and developer resources.
- Work in a collaborative Agile environment and work extended hours when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline and four years of technical engineering experience with Playwright-based automation, or six years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Strong TypeScript programming skills for test automation using Playwright and the Page Object Model.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar platforms such as GitLab or Jira for source code, task, bug, and test-pipeline management.
- Experience with Agile projects and basic Scrum principles.
- Experience with Visual Studio Code and Maven for project build and reporting processes.
- Intermediate development skills and the ability to work independently on non-standard and complex development tasks.
- Understanding of testing processes, standards, best practices, front-end web technologies, and object-oriented programming.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Basic Java and Selenium WebDriver experience, Eclipse or IntelliJ experience, BrowserStack experience, performance/load testing, and API testing are preferred.
- Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot for test script development is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic research techniques and a questioning attitude to learn, produce results, and develop relationships.
