Responsibilities
- Define and lead Azure DevOps, GitHub, and engineering transformation strategies aligned with client and enterprise objectives.
- Design and implement GitHub Enterprise architectures, governance models, repository strategies, and operating frameworks.
- Architect and optimize GitHub Actions workflows, CI/CD platforms, and software delivery pipelines.
- Lead migrations from Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, and legacy toolchains to GitHub.
- Advise clients on GitHub Copilot adoption, responsible AI governance, security, licensing, usage measurement, cost optimization, and value realization.
- Design AI-assisted workflows for coding, testing, code review, documentation, troubleshooting, and developer productivity.
- Lead discovery sessions, assessments, workshops, roadmap engagements, and client coaching.
- Troubleshoot software delivery, deployment, source control, security, infrastructure, reliability, and performance challenges.
- Develop reusable AI-enabled engineering accelerators, playbooks, and reference architectures.
- Coach leaders, engineers, architects, and developer champions on GitHub Copilot and secure AI engineering practices.
- Improve reliability, security, governance, compliance, and operational effectiveness across software delivery platforms.
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT experience with strong hands-on cloud, GitHub, and DevOps expertise.
- 2+ years in a lead, architect, or senior technical role.
- Proven experience designing and deploying cloud solutions at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and/or Jenkins for end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python scripting and automation.
- Understanding of CI/CD, Git branching strategies, release management, DevSecOps, security scans, secrets management, and quality gates.
- Experience advising on DevOps practices and aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
- Experience guiding enterprise clients through GitHub Copilot adoption, governance, cost optimization, metrics, and value realization.
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments and networking such as VPNs or ExpressRoute.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering, infrastructure performance tuning, cost optimization, and ITIL or ITSM processes.
- Familiarity with NIST, HIPAA, PCI, or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Consulting or client-facing experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments and pre-sales solution architecture is preferred.
- Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, container, ITIL, Agile, and security certifications are preferred or beneficial.
