Base Salary
$108k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of more than 15 software platform, DT, and GSS engineers and direct day-to-day execution.
- Architect, design, implement, and integrate infrastructure platform services on Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Develop and deploy traditional compute, network, storage, server hardware, and virtualization infrastructure.
- Modernize system architectures through infrastructure-as-code, automation, configuration management, software deployment, and integration.
- Deliver milestones in the environment recovery plan and provide technical oversight, training, mentoring, and design guidance.
- Lead design reviews for next-generation development environments and ensure compliance with customer and RTN cybersecurity standards.
- Manage budget authority for assigned platform initiatives.
Requirements
- STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Experience with software deployment and integration, Linux and Windows operating systems, and virtualization technologies.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Top Secret security clearance before the start date; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred: Top Secret clearance with Special Program Access and current CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Preferred: experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools; running technical teams; and installing, configuring, and integrating COTS/FOSS products.
- Preferred: experience designing and integrating infrastructure-as-code platform services, troubleshooting platform performance and reliability issues, and working across server, storage, and network hardware.
- Preferred: programming experience with Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, or Go.
- Preferred: containerization experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Helm, or Rancher.
