Responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous, high-level product ideas into concrete technical plans by asking stakeholders the right questions.
- Design, build, and ship end-to-end features across Java/Spring backend services, APIs, data layers, testing, infrastructure, and rollout.
- Implement frontend work using modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, Microfrontends, and Module Federation, alongside legacy Dart components.
- Evaluate an existing codebase, deciding what to reuse or rebuild while preventing unnecessary technical debt.
- Anticipate system-level effects and manage risks before they become incidents.
- Make technical and product tradeoffs independently and drive work through completion.
- Use Cursor, Claude/Codex, the internal AI portal, and MCP daily, including creating automations and skills where they improve productivity.
- Critically evaluate AI-generated output and challenge product requirements when they do not hold up.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with deep knowledge of Java 21, Spring, REST APIs, SQL, TypeScript, and React 19.
- Demonstrated ownership of features or systems from end to end rather than only executing fully specified tickets.
- Experience navigating and improving an existing, non-trivial codebase rather than working only in greenfield environments.
- Advanced hands-on use of AI coding tools in daily engineering work.
- Ability to make decisions under ambiguity and own the outcomes.
- Relevant backgrounds may include technical founders, early startup engineers, small-company CTOs or Heads of Engineering, and senior engineers with active recent open-source or side-project work.
Benefits
- 5 weeks of paid vacation.
- Sick leave compensation, including 5 paid uncertified sick days, 2 weeks fully paid with a medical certificate, and an additional 4 weeks paid at 80% salary rate.

About Wrike
Wrike is the trusted work delivery platform for people and AI. Most organizations are already using AI to handle real work. Without the right infrastructure, it's ungoverned, unauditable, and out of control. That's the problem we solve. Wrike gives enterprises the governed, context-rich foundation they need to put people and AI to work together on their most consequential workflows — without losing control of how work gets done. What makes Wrike different is what sits behind the AI. Our Work Intelligence® Graph is built on 500B+ historical data points and two decades of enterprise work management. It gives AI the structured context to act reliably, inside the same roles, permissions, and access controls your people already work within. The result? Organizations don't just manage work. They deliver without doubt. Governance sets the boundaries. Autonomy follows when people trust the system. Scale is what happens when you stop hitting the ceiling that limits delivery. More than 20,000 organizations worldwide, including Siemens, Walmart, NVIDIA, and The Estée Lauder Companies, trust Wrike to deliver their most important work. 🔒 Enterprise-grade security: ISO 27001, SOC 2 & 3, GDPR compliant, 99.9% uptime SLA 🏆 Named a winner of the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards 🤖 Wrike AI Certification: organizational readiness for governed AI at enterprise scale
