Responsibilities
- Review product designs, architecture, and specifications; create comprehensive test plans and execute functional, load, and performance tests.
- Build manual and automated integration and system tests for Akamai cloud APIs and services.
- Contribute to test automation infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, including writing automated tests and reviewing peer automation pull requests.
- Collaborate with globally distributed developers, SDET engineers, architects, and program managers.
- Verify product specifications and contribute to release-readiness decisions and deployment schedules.
- Help ensure cloud platform systems are resilient, secure, and scalable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or another related field, or equivalent experience.
- More than 8 years of experience developing Python-based automation frameworks and testing REST/Open APIs.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments and core networking concepts including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Proficiency with Git, Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
- Basic MySQL database querying and schema design experience.
- Experience deploying, managing, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
