Responsibilities
- Design and build multi-agent AI systems in Python for complex business workflows.
- Architect model-agnostic abstraction layers to decouple business logic from LLM providers.
- Build and operate backend services deployed on Kubernetes with CI/CD.
- Design tool-use patterns for AI agents, including state management and error handling.
- Build integrations across external systems with proper error handling and data contracts.
- Instrument and monitor AI systems in production for observability and debugging.
- Design and run experiments to evaluate system performance.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience building backend services in Python.
- Production experience with multi-step AI agent systems and stateful workflows.
- Strong understanding of LLM internals affecting system design.
- Experience testing and evaluating non-deterministic AI systems.
- Solid software architecture fundamentals including API design and fault tolerance.
- Production experience with containerized deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating with external APIs at scale.
- Proficiency with SQL and data systems for analytics pipelines.
- Experience building observability into production systems.
- High ownership of code deployment and incident investigation.
